Summary: This was a beautiful estate/farm and a wonderful tour. Our guide was able to answer all of our questions (in both Spanish and English) and I learned a lot! The animals at the farm are so cute and friendly. There was also a delicious lunch served. Highly recommend!

Summary: We loved the tour. Very educational. Walter worked overtime in spanish, English, and French. We saw a bit of wildlife and enjoyed good food and coffee.

Summary: What an amazing experience. The driver picked us up at a meetup spot near out hotel (and he drove us home to the same spot). We started with a cup of coffee while our tour guide gave us a run down of the day. Then we suited up and walked up the hills to look at the coffee cherries on the trees. We went through the process of cherry to cup and pet all the house animals along the way. The property itself is beautiful and I could have stayed there all day. Then we ate a delicious homemade lunch with the entire staff. We got to know them as well as the origins of the property from the owner who also dined with us. We ended the day with a guided tasting! I would highly recommend.

Summary: The coffee plantation tour at la Casa Grande was exceptional. Walter’s knowledge of local history as well as his knowledge of coffee history made for a one of a kind tour. The small group, home cooked meal and coffee tasting was a wonderfully intimate experience emphasizing, once again, the passion of the Colombian people. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Summary: We had a very pleasant and informative half day, ending with an excellent tasting session. We all learned a lot, even the kids (11 and 14) who got into the tasting experience as well. It starts with meeting outside a nice hotel in the El Poblado neighborhood, then a 30-45 minute car ride up into the mountains with lots of nice views along the way. We were lucky to have perfect weather, which made the farm and house look even more beautiful. We sat all together for 30-45 minutes learning from our guide over an introductory drink, then headed up the mountain to see plants in various stages and to pick berries from mature plants. Came back and went through some of the steps for selecting and drying the berries, etc. Followed by a tour through the house that has been in the family for generations, and nice group lunch where we enjoyed talking with the other people. Finally the tasting, which covered 5 different kinds of coffee. This one cost a little more than other tours, but everything was first rate so I suspect it was worth it.

Summary: Fantastic day! Arrived to a friendly guide named Alejandro. He was so informative and fun. He explained how the beans looked from berry to beans with baskets of each. We tasted them and learned so much. Then we put on some hats, ponchos and baskets for our trip into the hills to pick berries. After picking, we learned how to remove the outer shell and how to dry them. In addition, we planted a few beans. Following a fabulous lunch family style, everyone enjoyed a coffee tasting and fruit and caramel candy. After an explanation of different ways to process, ferment, and grind beans we were exposed to styles of brewing techniques and tastings. Great day with friendly guides, assistants and the owner. Take this tour, you won’t regret it. It does involve some uphill and uneven hiking. Not suitable for unsteady or easily tiring older adults.

Summary: This is my second trip to Medellin and this is probably my favorite tour I’ve ever taken here. The property is beautiful and the guides knowledgeable and friendly. Lunch was great and the coffee tasting was amazing. Makes me want to branch out and try more small batch coffees rather than always stick to my mass produced everyday coffee. Makes you appreciate the differences in the coffees you drink. Wear shoes you don’t mind getting muddy. I didn’t find the bugs too bad at all, but I would suggest you follow the directions on their site and wear long pants and sleeves, and bring bug spray. They had some but it’s helpful to have your own. I highly recommend this tour!

Summary: Fantastic tour, great drivers and fantastic coffee “journey”. Highly recommend! Our whole family went and while there is some hiking to get to the coffee plants, it was well worth it.

Summary: I visited with three of my friends. The setting was beautiful, the staff were very friendly, and the coffee was great.
